Pot for Aroids

For our professional growing, we use these square pots. They have the same functions, differing only in shape, and they are not as transparent. Their advantage is that the square shape saves space in our grow boxes; however, they do not fit as well into decorative plant pot covers.

We have one more great accessory for this pot. It is a support anchor — it secures a sphagnum moss pole in the pot so you no longer have to worry about the plant falling over or tipping out. This allows you to let your plants grow to impressive heights. :)

Choosing the right pot size for aroids depends on the size and growth requirements of each species.

Approximate pot size guide:

It is important to say that the plant height is truly approximate. Each plant has slightly different needs, and it also depends on whether your plant has a sphagnum moss pole with substrate. With a pole, the plant can also take up nutrients through the roots in the sphagnum moss pole, so it does not need such a large pot.

If you are repotting, repot into a pot that is one size larger, or at most two sizes larger. If you are switching from a standard (low) pot, you can even use the same diameter, because the greater height also increases the space available for the roots.
